TRAVELLING TO A FAR OFF PLACE THAT FEELS LIKE HOME

There’s something special about getting away and experience new things. And nothing beats travelling to a place where getting there feels like coming home. When arriving, a good host is of great importance. We are here to show you the Lofoten that we know so well, and will appear as the perfect host for our perfect guests.

So make yourself at home. You will quickly discover that Lofoten is like coming home. We plan everything down to the smallest detail and give you impressions and experiences that will last you a lifetime.

This is what we live by, and live for.

YES, PLEASE – I’LL HAVE IT ALL

Lofoten is variety and possibilities surrounded by an outstanding landscape. Here you’ll find everything you can imagine in one place. Beaches and sea as in the tropics and mountains that only Norway has to offer. It’s not either or, nor both – it’s everything, and all at once.

WAVES LAPPING AND NOTHING’S LACKING

The sea is used in many ways. Whether you listen to it, bathe in it, sail on it or fish from it. Where else can you fish your own dinner, sit in a hot tub and listen to the ocean while enjoying a glass of something nice and then later eat your very own catch? We call it 360 ° of pleasure.

THE BEACH, THE MOUNTAINS AND EVERYTHING BETWEEN.

You can take a hike to over 1,000 meters above sea level and afterwards go straight down to a sandy white beach. With tired and tender feet, it feels like nothing could be more right. Between the tops and the big blue you find easier walks with fewer meters to climb. Or you can simply go directly to the beach to relax. Which is impressive enough in itself.

THE ENDLESS OCEAN, THE LAKES AND THE WATER.

Everything evolves around the ocean in Lofoten. And we use it either for swimming, kayaking or RIB. Sea and water was the start of the Norwegian export industry and has continued into the modern era. As long as there is water, there is life. And as long as there is water, it will be lively!

BIRDY, EAGLE AND NIGHT OWLS

In the summer months you can play golf in sunlight 24 hours a day. You will not find this anywhere else in the world. If you’re lucky you will experience an ‘eagle’: Even if you shoot over par, you may experience a couple of eagles flying over you, and then nothing else matters.

SURF, TURF, SURF AND TURF.

The wild Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful beaches makes Lofoten a surfers paradise. Even beginners can get the necessary training before they attempt to ride the waves as best. Some choose to sit on the shore to watch. Others might settle for a ‘surf and turf’ for dinner. No need to be making waves.

3 days only Lofoten can consist of:

Day 1
  • Departure 08.45 from Oslo
  • There will be lunch in the middle of Norway’s coolest small town until 13:30.
  • An easy hike after lunch – get to the top and get the feel of Lofoten.
  • Meet the locals and learn about the Lofoten culture and history in an exciting way. Dinner is served at “Børsen Spiseri”, a pier dating from 1828 which housed Svolværs very first store.
  • Here the group will be split into teams and team leaders will be briefed about the responsibilities and tasks for the next day’s fishing.
Day 2
  • Breakfast
  • Fishing in Lofoten. Now this is fishing!
  • Lunch in Nyvågar with Lofoten SPA and fillet cutting competition.
  • Time to let all the impressions sink in and just relax.
  • We recommend a food quiz before dinner at the popular Du Verden Restaurant in Svolvær.
Day 3
  • Breakfast
  • The RIB safari gets you fresh and feeling great even if last night seems close. The expedition’s goal is the sea eagle – we know where she lives!
  • Lunch and departure
SUN, LIGHT AND SUNLIGHT.

You can find all kinds of light conditions in Lofoten. Obviously, the midnight sun is the center of this universe, but also in the periods before and after, the sun gives nature all kinds of magical colors. At the time of year that the sun hibernates, Northern Lights occur with its spellbinding and astounding effect. It is never proper dark anyways, because the experiences, environments and people are almost luminescent.

HORSEBACK RIDING

In Lofoten you can successfully use a variety of non-motorized means of transport. Whether we are talking about horses or bicycles the transport stage will emerge as the whole point of the journey. In such an environment, it can’t go slow enough.

LIKE A FISH IN THE WATER

Lofot fishing has been the key to Norway’s export industry since the Viking age. Thousands of fishermen have hoisted thousands of tons of fish to the delight of the world. The fishing villages are today little used by fishermen, but instead upgraded to modern homes to visitors. There are still fishing villages in full operation, which is worth a visit for a close encounter with an ancient industry.

Location, location, location

It’s true what they say in the real-estate business: Location is everything. In all modesty, we could say that Lofoten has found its place. And there is none that can compete. Lofoten has everything 356 days a year and 24 hours a day. Not convinced? Just ask anyone who has been here.
So don’t take our word for it. Here’s what Theodor Kittelsen wrote about Kræmmervika, Ballstad: «Never have I seen such vibrant colors! The white drifts in the blue mountains and green as juicy as green. Luminous spots and rays throw reflections back of the quiet bay. It is an image of a fairytale fantasy; this must be where the princess was mesmerized.»
Time to be mesmerized? You’re welcome.
